Todd Ferris
Biography
Todd Ferris, MD, MS is the Director of Informatics Services at the Stanford Center for Clinical Informatics, where he oversees the clinical
informatics consultation service. In addition, he is Associate CIO for IT Services and the Privacy Officer for Stanford University School
of Medicine. Dr. Ferris oversees the IT Services components for Information Resources and Technology (IRT) department at the School of
Medicine. Dr. Ferris coordinates the HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability Act) implementation at the School of Medicine.
His areas of expertise are medical informatics, privacy and security issues, and HIPAA regulations. Dr. Ferris provides regulatory guidance
including privacy and security for the STRIDE project.
